ETL4ALL Community Edition version 3.0 (CE)

Beginners, students, and other non-commercial users will find ETL4ALL CE to be a comprehensive ETL/reporting tool without the limits imposed by the community versions of other tools.

ETL4ALL CE is a fully functional ETL4ALL release that can be downloaded free of charge. As it is fully documented and distributed with sample projects, you can quickly get started and convince yourself of the benefits of ETL4ALL without any financial risk.

ETL4ALL CE runs on any Windows platform and supports an unlimited number of sources and targets. Its only restrictions are :

  • 1. All transformations are executed in RAM on the development machine. As a consequence, the amount of data that can be handled is large, but not unlimited.
  • 2. The repository is not shared. This means that it can only be used in a single-user environment, as several ETL4ALL CE developers cannot share their achievements.

These limitations do not apply to the ETL4ALL PE (Professional Edition).

ETL4ALL Professional Edition version 3.0 (PE)

Compared to ETL4ALL Community Edition, the ETL4ALL Professional Edition (PE) has some important advantages :

  • 1. ETL4ALL PE can deal with data sets of all sizes.
  • 2. ETL4ALL PE allows users to use a random database as their repository. As a consequence, it is possible to share repositories among users. This is not only important when several developers are working on the same projects, but also when different user profiles are involved. For instance, a BI specialist can design a customized report, which can be used by a manager without additional effort.
  • 3. ETL4ALL PE has some relevant performance advantages over ETL4ALL CE, when big transformations must be executed.
  • 4. ETL4ALL PE can be extended with additional transformation servers.

Transformation Server (optional for the Professional Edition)

ETL4ALL 3.0 PE can be extended with transformation servers. This software component allows the batch execution of huge data transformations on dedicated machines.

This makes the execution of big data transformations less error-prone and relieves the developer?s machine for other tasks.
